A Letter to Our Ivy Girls

This week during our Ivy Preparatory Academy Board Meeting, our Gwinnett Campus Principal, Mr.Dennis, asked for all stakeholders to take a moment to write a letter of encouragement to one of/our Ivy scholars. Affirmations are such a critical and important part of our scholars educational journey towards success.

I encourage you to send letters of encouragement to them to Principal Dennis from around the world, letting them know that they are destined for greatness. Please email Principal Dennis your letter of support for our Ivy girls, [email protected] In fact, my challenge is that you would send a letter not only to a scholar at our Gwinnett Campus, but a young lady at any pre K, K -12 or higher institute of learning to encourage their success!

Greetings Ivy Scholars,

There are still many causes worth sacrificing for, so much history yet to be made!”, a powerful statement by former 1st Lady, Michelle Obama.

Each moment is a moment each of you become closer to achieving another level of success. You’re a moment away from designing the next famous gown or next social media outlet. There are endless possibilities that await you and I believe that Ivy is just the beginning, the gateway to many more successes.

There’s a heavy weight on you and it’s the pressure of destiny calling forth the greatness inside of you! Although it may be heavy, it’s not impossible. It’s possible to push through adversity and challenges. Look at the challenges you may face in Math, ELA, Science and Social Studies. Then look at Sojourner Truth, the women of the Hidden Figures film and even the women within your own families. It’s your time to become the example for the next generation. There are doors that haven’t been opened that are waiting for you to push through them.

You’re not alone! You each have an army behind you. Your teachers, Principal, network staff, parents, families and this Board are here to ensure that every little step that you take while in Ivy are ordered in such a way that they become giant steps you’ll fulfill the brightness within your futures.

Keeping dreaming the unimaginable, keep proving that impossible things are happening every day and most importantly keeping showing the world that our Ivy girls are unstoppable! You can conquer any obstacle ahead, academic, social, financial or wellness that comes your way.
