On Monday, May 7, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education will hold it’s Community Meeting at 130 Trinity Avenue and we need you there. As you may know, there are currently two new charter schools looking to open in Atlanta by fall 2019: Ethos Classical and Harriet Tubman School of Science and Technology.
Both schools have submitted their petitions to Atlanta Public Schools but their follow-up interviews were canceled this week by the district to extend the petition review until an unknown date.
There are nearly 12,000 Atlanta public school students on charter school wait-lists, and just a few options available. Our kids can’t wait for more choices.
We need your help.
Will you join us during the next school board meeting to voice our support for both schools and more choices for Atlanta’s kids? The meeting will take place Monday, May 7, at 5:30 p.m.
If you can make it, write me back or RSVP through this link. Please let me know if you’re interested in speaking at the meeting, too! If you can’t, I encourage you to send an email to your school board member. I’m happy to provide more information, just let me know.
Please feel free to share with other charter school supporters.
Thank you again,
